“Unfortunately, the stay fell far below expectations. We were not told the hotel was undergoing renovations, which became clear on arrival. Our first room had a balcony door that wouldn’t lock, so we moved. The second room was well located but had major issues: the toilet never flushed (we were given a bucket), there was mould on the walls and curtains, the fridge was broken, and the water was often unavailable or ran brown without warning.
