Our trip from the UK had been planned around going to this lighthouse. I was devastated to learn that there would be scaffolding on the lighthouse , but our trip was booked and we still went. I'm so glad we did. We had a glorious morning with spectacular clouds and the scaffolding seemed to add something extra that we couldn't have got at another time. I just love this place.
Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse near Portland, Maine. Located in a park just outside of Portland with some nice walking trails and great scenery.
Not there at the best time of day, however I was able to secure a great location for the classic shot of this lighthouse.

Someone from housekeeping was on their phone at 830am talking so so loud right outside my room. They also tried getting into my room at 9am, if I hadnt put the bar on the door they would have walked right in while I was trying to sleep. Checkout isnt till noon!!
