Where do I even begin? From the very first message Debbie and I exchanged, I knew she was the perfect host. Let me start by talking about Debbie—she made our stay incredibly pleasant, safe, entertaining, and refreshing. We encountered some issues with our transport services, but Debbie stepped in, sorted everything out, and even offered us a complimentary ride. I reached out to Debbie to arrange a birthday and Valentine’s surprise, and let me tell you—she over delivered! She and her wonderful team, Lucia and Nariea, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. Debbie made it a priority to check in with us every single day. Chocolate Box Guesthouse was far better than we had imagined. From the complimentary breakfast with giant muffins to the free still and sparkling water, high-speed WiFi, laundry services, so many books to read, walk in closet, spacious shower & a slick tub, a beautiful swimming pool, and well-ventilated spaces, AC, the incredible view—it was truly an exceptional experience. If you’re planning to stay at Chocolate Box Guesthouse, let me emphasize this—I cannot stress it enough... Make sure you book the King Protea Presidential Suite! Thank God we did—you won’t regret it! Incredible setting over Gordon’s Bay. Fantastic service and hospitality. So many small details and exceptional quality, the sheets, the bathroom amenities, books galore, honesty bar and the best breakfast experience. I wish we’d stayed longer!

Overlooking Gordon's Bay, the Chocolate Box is a paradise in which to relax and unwind. The room was fantastic with all the mod cons you could need. They even have cooking facilities and a DVD library should you want a night in. We just loved it here, the hospitality is incredible and breakfast out of this world! Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

EXCELLENT Atay. My 2nd trip to Chocolate Box- Felt like going home. Absolutely loved the sublime decadence of the place. Will definitely go back. This is one experience I would recommend. LOVE personified!

We spent four nights at the Chocolate Box after Two Oceans and was pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the Helderberg and its wine farms and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and treated us like family. The views and sunsets were to die for and the rooms large, well maintained and very comfortable.

Olaf and his team are fantastic, so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast offers juices, coffees and teas, cheese and bread selection, cereal, and a menu for eggs and other hot items. The location is great, with an amazing view of the bay, and fantastic as a base for exploring along the coast road in either direction. Olaf suggested some amazing restaurants and vineyards to visit. I'll definitely be staying there next time I visit South Africa! Much more welcoming than a hotel but with all the same facilities.

What a fantastic experience. Olaf and Bernadette were fascinatingly helpful. The room opens into the the gardens and the view of the mountains and the bay. The custom breakfast was spectacular and sumptuous, with a side of fresh local fruits. Olaf got us a fabulous degustation reservation at Waterkloolf. In short, the area, the cuisine, the hospitality were all top-notch.

Ideally placed to explore the surrounding area. The owners were very welcoming and attentive to guests needs. Accommodation was elegantly contemporary yet calm and comfortable. Breakfast particularly good. Bernadette , Brad and Olaf work hard to ensure you have the best possible experience as their guests. No hesitation in recommending.

Tolle Gastgeber! Man fühlt sich wie in seinem eigenen Strandhaus mit fantastischem Ausblick. Es ist sehr ruhig, das Frühstück war exzellent und liebevoll angerichtet. Ein Haus mit Liebe zum Detail, sehr modern eingerichtet und trotzdem sehr gemütlich- wir werden wiederkommen!

Stayed our last night in Cape Town. This place is beautiful, clean and updated with a cute modern feel. The owners were beyond welcoming, perfect.. close to many places to eat and watch sunset. It was to windy to enjoy the pool and the balcony.. we left early to catch our flight home, so we missed out on breakfast, but we were left some yummy fresh fruit and yougart..a real nice surprise. The homemade truffles were delicious, as well as the candy bowls.. Super happy with stay, thanks guys.. highly recommended..

Ohne uns gross Gedanken zu machen haben wir in der Choclate Box ein Zimmer für Zwei reserviert. Ein klarer Fehler, denn umso mehr waren wir erstaunt, als wir eincheckten und merkten, dass Bradley und Olaf ihr ganzes Herzblut in das Projekt stecken. So ist nicht nur die Lage zu Kapstadt top, sondern kennt ihre Gastfreundlichkeit keine Grenzen. Sie scheuen keine Mühe und tuen alles damit man sich grenzenlos wohl fühlt - bis in kleinste Detail. Aus diesem Grund mussten wir am Schluss unserer Reise (ausserplanmässig) nochmals bei diesen zwei guten Menschen vorbei schauen und in der Chocolate Box übernachten. Tipp: Auf der Terrasse der Chocolate Box kann man, mit Sicht auf den Tafelberg, total entspannt den schönsten Sonnenuntergang Kapstadts erleben.

We loved our stay. Brad and Oloff were lovely hosts and saw to our every need. I've already raved about it to friends and family. My friends indicated that she considered it a great hen party location :-)
