We agree, the fireplace (with a cup of tea and a cupcake) is definitely the best place to be when the weather is bad! We're so sorry that you were not promptly attended to in the morning. It’s important to us that our guests leave Hawksmoor with great memories, and we take it to heart when this doesn’t happen. We’ve done our very best to convey on our online listings the authentic country feel of Hawksmoor House. However, not all listings allow us to write the descriptive text ourselves. Thank you for letting us know about your experience: it’s important that we get feedback from guests to let us know when there may be a mismatch between the listings and your experience. We will be working on this in the next couple of days to see if we can add aspects such as our country kitchen dinner menu to the listing, and checking that there’s nothing on our own website that we need to tweak.
