Disapointing garage

We expected to be put in. Decent Room instead of an Old garage. Room was okay but no light and totally out of charm. Super disspointee.

We had a wonderful stay! The service was excellent, breakfast was delicious, and the room and shared spaces were tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. Quiet location a short walk from the centre of town. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay over all.

we had a lovely big room / suite in fact. the property is really attractive and the staff very friendly. Quite a long walk back from town but going in is easy as it is downhill. The breakfast was good although I had to complain about my fried eggs being hard as a brick and they should have been over easy.

A little gem in an exceptional setting.

This is a very comfortable guest house with all modern facilities in a beautiful setting. Our room, only a standard, was spacious, as was the bathroom with a large terrace with views of the surrounding mountains. A walk into town but worth it to enjoy its lovely setting.

Serious security issue and leaks

Booked 7 nights. On the second night a stranger unlocked the room door at midnight and walked in with his suitcase. It turned out that the room key is the same as the key to the courtyard with a swimming pool and available to everyone. This made us feel very unsafe. On top of that the bathroom shower leaked twice in the evening making the bathroom unusable until the next day and room floor wet. Ended up trying to capture escaping water for hours. In the end checked out 2 days before the end of the trip. Sadly was offered a substitute accommodation too late - only when we were already packed and waiting for a taxi to take us to a newly booked place. No refunds provided! No sorry message...

A Great Spot in The Wine Region

From the start, we had very friendly service and were greeted with sparkling wine! The view from the upstairs room is incredible and the pool/patio are a great place to relax after a day of travel or visiting vineyards. Breakfast was also very good with both cold and hot options (including warm croissants). Definitely recommend!

Great place to stay

Lovely place and our room was fantastic. Greeted with a glass of fizz and a bottle of wine in the fridge in the room too. Breakfast was great each day and the staff all fantastic. Thanks for having us.

Fabulous

We booked this very last minute and we were absolutely delighted. The house is in a beautiful quite location with a short walk into town. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend a stay here.

Ideal setting

The hotel is just a few rooms and very cute. Breakfast is lovely and the hotel is quiet. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main road with all the restaurants. Pretty pool and comfortable rooms.

Couple retreat.

Outstanding stay at the newly opened La Ferme Vive la Vie. I knew it was a bit of a risk to book a room in a place that had not yet opened but we were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were thrilled with the gorgeous thatched roof home, the pool and our pool-side room. Peter, Andrea and Annalize and all the staff were absolutely wonderful. Our room was perfect in every way and having a bottle of wine delivered on our arrival was a lovely bonus! The breakfast was probably my favourite part. I loved the muesli, fruit yogurt treat and the french toast was also delicious. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the main street, which is great so you can enjoy some wine with dinner and saunter home. We had a little bit of noise from the tenants above us on the first night (arrival at 2:30 am) but otherwise all was amazing. We had massages by the pool which was also absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet romantic getaway.

First Guest at La Ferme Vive la Vie

We spent two nights and were the first guest ever to have booked into the guest house. We were given the pool facing room off of the veranda. The room was beautifully appointed with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very large with a double shower. Breakfast was served in the dining room, also off of the veranda. There was plenty to choose from and plentiful. The staff were attentive and very helpful from the check-in to the dining room and kitchen staff. There were a few very little things that has not been completed, like towel rails in the bathroom and also a soap dish in the shower, these had not been completed before they opened and the management told us that they were going to be attended to. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend La Ferme Vive la Vie to others.
