We Spend 2 nights at the end of a 10 days stay in Cape Town for our honeymoon. The room was great, the bed really comfy, the view from our balcony was amazing. The 2 nights we were there, they left creme brulee and chocolate covered strawberries on our bed. It was really sweet. The staff was helpful and friendly.

perfect location
Villa we stayed is located on the beach, with amazing view to the sea and mountains. You can just enjoy view all the day. Beautiful, but wild sea, with big waves. Amazing beach, very long and very deep. Fantastic and sweet staff, ready to help 24/7. We had a great time.

Paradise Found
A truly magical stay, really brilliant dinner and all drinks included which makes it better value for money. Lovely staff. Only downside is the rooms are tired and the whole pool and bathrooms need maintenance. Also a wider breakfast choice perhaps it is a bit limited. Thanks to Kim for looking after us perfectly.

The hotel’s amazing location and the service we received were both definitely 5 star. However, the interior is not 5 star as rated. There’s nothing wrong with it and we had no issues, but marketing it as 5 stars is not realistic. Will definitely return though.

Wonerful small hotel on beachfront
The hotel has just 6 rooms all of which have a marvellous view over the sea. It is beachfront and you can open the gate and walk onto the beach. The rooms are really huge and well designed.and had free Wifi There is a mini bar but unlike any other mini bars I have encountered this one is free. There was also a complimentary bottle of both red and white wine in our room. In the general lounge are was a much larger complimentary mini bar. Food was first class. The staff were very friendly and I can well recommend this establishment.

Didn’t meet our expectations
We had very high expectations of this property having stayed at the one in Franschoek. The location on Kommetjie beach and the decor was faultless. But what really makes a boutique hotel experience something more than a “Holiday inn” is the service and in this this property was sorely lacking. Our reception, on arrival, was casual and cursory - in a hotel with 6 rooms, it would not be unexpected for a guest to be greeted by name. The room was tastefully decorated in shades of duck egg, cream and beige, with stunning views. The complimentary mini bar was not well stocked - barely the basics. Breakfast was a small buffet with an ample variety of cooked to order items - the individualized smoothies were a nice touch. This was an expensive stay which failed to hit the mark. In summary, the location is perfect, the food average and the service awful.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views. We were given an amazing room with views of the ocean. The breakfast every morning was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

A place to return to
This is my second time visiting the hotel - I have been longing to come back! Now I can't wait to stay there again! Everything was beyond expectation, but the wonderful staff make the stay even more special.

Amazing hotel right on the beach. Best thing was the welcome and staff, and the view from the room with doors that completely open. Only negative is lack on any close restaurants.

Very top resort. super attentive and accommodating
Could not have been a better experience. exceptionally clean, secure, modern, with attentive staff. friend and I stayed three days relaxing and enjoying the resort, beach, and local flavor. It was also our base as we explored the Cape peninsula.

Direkt am Strand gelegen mit super Aussicht
Dieses Hotel kann mit Allem punkten ! Es ist nicht groß, aber jedes Zimmer hat Meerblick. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Suiten ! Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Das Hotel bietet auch Abendessen an, was sehr angenehm ist, denn es gibt in der Nähe kaum Restaurants- auch die Qualität ist TOP ! Die Getränke sind kostenlos, was mich sehr überrascht hat. Bei Ankunft wird der Gast mit einem Welcome Drink sehr nett empfangen. Dieses Hotel ist wirklich TOLL und für Gäste geeignet, die keinen Massentrubel mögen.

A true gem out in the middle of Kommetjie
This boutique hotel is a real gem with all staff on their toes to please, which is exactly how the hospitality industry is about. Apart from the great service, the location and scenic views were absolutely awesome. You could spend an entire few days just taking it all in without having to leave the place.

Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean
The Last Word Long Beach was superb: the room, the view, the service - everything was excellent, from the moment we checked in and were told that they had booked us a table for dinner at a local restaurant to when we left and the staff came out to say goodbye. Our room was spacious enough for our two boys to sleep in a single bed each in the living room area without it feeling too cramped, and the little touches such as chocolates for them as well as us at bedtime and sunhats and a beach bag to borrow made the stay a wonderful experience. The hotel's location, right on the edge of the beach, means you can pop out for a walk along the white sand, while at night we were able just to close the shutters, leaving the balcony doors open, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Bliss. Jennifer and her staff did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one.

The Last word is truly an amazing experience. From the second you enter, you are greeted by the staff who carefully go through all the aspects of your room and the lounge. Service is amazing. The lounge has afternoon tea and free beverages in the evening with a great view on the sea. We were only a bit disappointed by the area of the hotel.

Bliss - no other word does it justice
A business trip with a weekend is often not much fun when overloaded with work you feel you need to continue to clear the decks. Needing some peace, quiet, and re-invigoration, I found this hotel, which actually is not all that far from Cape Town. But what a world away. I felt like I had had two weeks off. Amazing location and wonderful staff

My girlfriend and I had an AMAZING time at the Last Word and will definitely be going again!! From the way we were welcomed to the place, the people are extremely friendly, nurturing and actually care about how we were feeling throughout our stay. It's so secluded that we felt like we were the only guests there!!! Our walks on the beach were priceless!!!

Arrived on Monday... Hotel has no food...no restaurants are open in town on Mondays except one and they only serve pizza. Had to walk 20 minutes in the dark to get to this place. Pool was broken not able to use for our entire stay. Had beautiful glass doors overlooking the outside but people wandering around constantly so you could not have open. Bed was sunk in the middle and hard. Furniture was old and dirty. On a good note the staff was very friendly and tried very hard to help but there was too much to overcome. Had just left a beautiful place in Bantry Bay… We should have stayed there. I would never go back to this place.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff were amazing. We were made to feel very welcome, relaxing atmosphere. We will stay at the Last Word Long Beach again in the future.

Exclusives kleines Hideaway am Strand
Direkt am wunderschönen Sandstrand gelegen mit nur ganz wenigen Zimmern. Zimmer und Bad sehr geräumig mit Blick in den Garten bzw. auf Strand und Meer Richtung Norden zur Bucht von Hout Bay bis zum Tafelberg. Sehr herzlicher Empfang und Gästebetreuung durch die Inhaberin. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit ebenfalls wunderbaren Ausblicken übers Meer. Etwas versteckt gelegen und nicht so leicht zu finden, weil keine gute Beschilderung vorhanden. Pool relativ klein (ca. 7-8m). Ein romantischer, ruhiger Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Um gut Essen zu gehen, muss man mit Auto oder Taxi fahren. Einfache Lokale in der Nähe.

Lovely place lovely staff
Stayed here for 2 nights at end of a three week holiday. The setting is stunning and the staff make it a really great place to stay. The food was excellent and Jennifer, Joan and the rest of the staff were so helpful and attentive. We asked if we could eat in on the last evening and this was arranged to perfection, the food was superb. Very easy to reach all parts of southern peninsula - we managed to do Cape Point, Boulders Beach, Simons Town and the Coast to Kalk Bay, Cape Point Winery and two local farms, easily in a day.
