Cozy hotel , loved the views , great breakfast, amazing super staff all the way from reception to restaurant to valet parking team, the sunsets amazing, reasonable drive to camps bay and cape down town, loved the track around the hotel ( having an easy beautiful hiking trail in backyard).
Twelve Apostles is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel in a beautiful location. Amazing breakfast buffet and good quality food. Service is outstanding and very friendly. Highly recommended. This was our second stay here and would definitely stay again if back in Cape Town.
We had a great stay at the 12 apostles, the staff were all fantastic, the room was beautiful & tastefully appointed. Only drawback is the pool area which is a little cramped. We would definitely return.
What a fantastic location. Our welcome could not have been better with friendly staff throughout our stay. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Both restaurant and brasserie restaurant offered good value with varied menus. I would certainly look forward to staying there again
Amazing service - great location - dine at Azure at sunset (or cocktails at the Leopard Bar) for an awesome experience. Lulu the courtesy shuttle driver was so friendly and helpful - the shuttle stops every hour at camps bay and V&A Waterfront and makes sure you get picked up at the end of the night. The concierge is also good for organising a driver for excursions. Highly recommended and we will be back
The hotel is far away from the city center, which is what we wanted. The sunset views are amazing , and the rooms are very well apointed and beautiful. The shuttle to and from v&a is very useful to go to the city, ubers are also very available. Breakfast is out of this world!!
Very nice. The hotel staff and management ade our 12th anniversary extra special.
The drawback is the R150 service charge fee and the R10 donation fee that was added to our bill.
When paying top dollar per night for full 5* service, then I loath that an additional R160 is slipped onto my bill for an extra service charge. This is over and above every meals 12,5% involuntary service charge added to each bill, and then the bill makes provision for even another 10, 12, and 15% service charge.
We intended to extent our stay, but then decided not to do so due to these small charges that is politely forced on patrons.
Don't milk the cow dry the saying goes.
I had contacted the hotel more than a month before to request a complimentary upgrade if available. I was told at the time that if they have availability on the day they will upgrade us. On arrival I asked again. We were told that a room is available, however it will cost R6000 (approximately €300) for the night. I declined.
The room we were given was beautiful. The hotel did put out a bottle of alcohol-free bubbly, a slice of cake, some cookies and a balloon as we were celebrating an anniversary. We really appreciated this gesture. However, there was dirty crockery and cutlery in the room (clearly used and not washed). Unacceptable.
The bathroom door had an issue where the door kept getting stuck in the frame. My wife used the bathroom and the door got jammed, she was locked in for a while. I called management who sent a maintenance person, who then wanted to sand and grind the door with us there, creating noise and dust. I refused and requested management come to speak to me.
We were subsequently moved to another room. This second room, whilst having a sea view, was certainly not as nice as the first room. Things did work there.
Breakfast was an anti-climax. I ordered the salmon Benedict. It was a single poached egg on half an English muffin. Everywhere else in the world it would be 2. Croissants were not crispy and pastries were disappointing.
Overall, I expected much better from a place of this calibre. I was rather perplexed by the lack of attention to detail here.
The room was beautiful!! Clean and had more than everything we needed for a perfect stay! The staff were all lovely and kind to us … couldn’t do enough to help and the hotel itself was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. Thank you to everyone at 12 Apostles. We will be back!!
Beautiful place, excellent service, delicious dining. Absolutely loved this place!

This is a great place to stay -close to major attractions, but in a relaxing and peaceful environment. Beautiful grounds with ocean and mountain views. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Awesome location and really upscale breakfast (I wish they had croissants). Awesome service!

Great location, great food but a rundown hotel
The location is beautiful, the staff very friendly, the Azure restaurant was delicious but the property is very run down and would need a major renovation to match its price range and standing.
We had a sea facing room and the views were stunning on the sunny day we were most fortunate to have. Dinner and breakfast both were very disappointing. Chicken curry wasn't up to Woolworths standards, breakfast buffet was lovely, but hot breakfast order left a lot to be desired. Chef needs to get out and about and visit other places to reacquaint themselves with great food and higher standards.
Whilst waiting for our rooms we used the pool area which is very small and not big enough for the amount of guests.
Most concerning was seeing rodents in the pool area, they left food outside the rooms and I had to tell 4 members of staff before they removed it. ( it was not mine)
The service round the pool was terrible, forgetting things and not serving everyone in the group at the same time. Would not recommend or stay again.
