"My 4 nights stay was good overall. The accommodation is neat and the location is at easy access to almost anywhere you want to visit in Dublin. I also like that it’s about 23 minutes away by bus to the airport.
There are clean mirrors ( I mean, I like mirrors😁) in the room and bathroom. There’s a lift for easy accessibility and also a gym on-site to exercise during your stay.
It’s a nice place to stay if you are not looking to cook your own meals, but eat out. Also, there is microwave and fridge in the communal lounge to heat up and preserve your meals."
"Fantastic hotel, great facilities and staff. Stay here on business as its out of the city by only 30 minutes, so perfect to be away from the hussle and bussle, plus its near some great golf courses, bonus!"
"Do not stay here. This had to be the worst place we have ever stayed! Even compared to European small room standards! The pictures the hotel provides are misleading. Everything is old! The beds and pillows are hard. There is carpet on the floor in the bedroom which made us question the overall cleanliness of the room. There is poor ventilation in the rooms as well. Definitely not worth the prices they are charging. This felt more like a hostel than a bed and breakfast. It was so uncomfortable that we left earlier than planned and found a beautiful newer hotel in Dublin's shopping district with a king bed for less than what Egan's charged for their run down facility. Phoenix Park is so important to Dublin that it has its own law on the statute books and visitors should be aware that one provision of this is that “no person shall act contrary to public morality in the Park”. So watch your Ps and Qs!
Dublin Zoo is not the only place in the city that you can take a walk on the wild side but it is probably the most popular. A firm favourite with families, the zoo attracts more than a million visitors every year, and they just keep coming.
