We spent our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms and it was truly a peaceful and relaxing escape. The resort has a calm, intimate atmosphere, and the beach was always quiet—perfect for unwinding. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Concierge team checked in on us almost every day to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which was much appreciated. The service overall was excellent, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping available upon request. We did notice a few small bugs here and there, and we got a few bites from sand flies at night, but it wasn’t a big issue. We’re not very familiar with the tipping culture, so we hope our appreciation was still felt. With kind people, good food, and reggae music playing in the background, it was a lovely and memorable honeymoon.

The lobby was the first glance and impression of the resort. Other ones we drove past when driving others to their hotels weren’t intriguing at all. But soon as we got to ocean coral you can see the luxury in the lobby immediately. We were greeted rum punch which was great. Check in was immediate and also had our room ready before 3PM which was good. From the pool, the restaurants, the beach, the staff. Literally everything was amazing. The staff were great. Some people have their own behaviours or attitudes. But we weren’t paying much attention to those. All the hotel amenities were just perfect. They every day clean the pool and have it maintained. Overall, for a first time in Jamaica and yet alone a resort, this was an amazing first experience. I would return to Jamaica but not to ocean coral so soon. Nothing against them, just more places to look forward to on this beautiful island.
