“Woodhill House is a charming old manor house in a lovely little town. The room was spacious and clean and the area was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious, though they only start serving at 8:30am so plan accordingly. John was a very welcoming host and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Woodhill House if you are in the Ardara area.”

“I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. While it is correctly located in the heart of Donegal Town, very little else matched the description. It is advertised as an “award-winning” guesthouse, which was difficult to understand given the overall experience. The rooms were neither bright nor airy, but small, tired, and carried a strong smell of stale grease and dirt. “Lovely traditional hotel with great sea views to the front. John was very pleasant and booked us in and showed us to our rooms which were clean and comfortable. Private parking to the rear of the building. Fantastic breakfast, cooked to perfection and staff serving were very pleasant. Will definitely stay again.”

“My only complaint is we asked the bartender to make a simple gin martini and he said sure, and he had to go get somebody else to make it and it was absolutely terrible, I couldn’t even drink it.”
