We loved to stay at the Bastion while visiting Cartagena. Very nice boutique hotel in the middle of the walled city. The property is very well maintened, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is the best of all. The staff is always willing to help you and to make you stay more confortable. I will definitely come back to this hotel

The perfect hotel to stay over inside the walls of the historical old part of Cartagena. A hidden gem the Bastion hotel, with spacious clean rooms, good and healthy breakfast buffet, friendly staff and a beautiful rooftop with swimming pool, and the hotel offers 24/7 à la carte service. Highly recommend to stay at this great property.

This hotel is located in a prime location, where you could walk to most things in the walled city or Getsemaní. What stood out the most about this hotel was the staff. Every evening someone would knock on the door and ask if the room meet your standards of cleanliness. On top of that, they would give you delicious fresh cookies everyday.

It was a wonderful experience from the very beginning. It has a old world feel with new world vibe. It's very open, but at the same time, you feel the privacy. Very nice rooftop pool restaurant bar security checked upon you all the time staff checked on you all the time. I would highly recommend it's in the middle of everywhere. Most things in town are walking distance.

We love staying at El Bastión. The place is beautiful, the staff is always helpful and friendly and the breakfast is amazing. We don’t even try to adventure staying at a different hotel. This is always our first choice when visiting Cartagena.
