O hotel é excelente perto de todos os principais pontos turísticos de Cartagena. O único problema é a internet que não é boa, quando você está dentro do quarto do hotel o sinal é fraco muitas vezes.

Great place for a stay in the old town. (And the old town is a must-stay place in Cartagena.) Casa Ebano is right in the heart of the action -- street performers, restaurants, art. The hotel is not modern but makes up for that with character.

llegamos un sábado en la madrugada, nos dieron una habitación fatal ya que olía a mucha humedad incluyendo la ropa de cama, eso nos dificultó dormir bien... al siguiente día nos cambiaron la habitación bajo nuestra solicitud y nos dieron otra en mucho mejor condiciones, en general Getsemaní es una área que por la pandemia denota mucho indigente y el acoso de vendedores es terrible sobre todo los fines de semana, Cartagena por lo demás es un lugar bello y recomendado para viajar ....

Overall, a nice stay. 2 of the 3 front desk workers were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a good place and relatively well kept. The guest policy for the hotel was confusing. As a solo traveler, I booked a room for two. At check-in, I asked if I could have a guest in my room and was told yes. However, later when I tried to bring a guest to the hotel, their entry was denied.

La habitacion no tenia ventana! Era literalmente un hueco con puerta. No tenia ningún aislamiento con la habitación de al lado y se oian todas las conversaciones entradas y salidas, no pude dormir. Sin embargo la gente del hotel era muy amable. El desayuno era bueno pero el ultimo dia vi una cucaracha en el lugar.

Good!
Our room had a nice balcony but was also extremely noisy due to close-by bars/nightclubs. Terrace pool and area were fantastic and service was really friendly and helpful! The room was somewhat worn down. Bed comfortable.

Excelente opción para alojarse en Cartagena!
El hotel esta muy bien ubicado a solo 5 minutos caminando de la puerta del reloj. Es muy cómodo y su personal es muy servicial, en especial Aury quien es muy formal y muy buen apara dar soluciones y guiarlo a uno como turista. Los servicios en general son muy buenos y tanto el aire como el ventilador o abanico funcionan como uno espera. El espacio de piscina es my agradable y muy util en medio del calor de Cartagena. Mejoraría un poco el techo en la sección de la piscina buscando proveer un poco mas de sombra, para quienes no amamos tanto el sol pero si el poder estar descansando y leyendo un libro frente a la piscina con la brisa y su pareja. Sugiero una renovación de toallas pues ya están desgastadas. En general una gran experiencia que vivimos mi esposa y yo en nuestras vacaciones!!

Staff was great. Hauled bags upstairs then back down when sister didn't want to climb stairs for balcony reserved room. So put us in tiny room on 1st floor. Did not like area the hotel was located in. Gals on the street, garbage on the sidewalk, men hanging around. Did not feel safe. Moved to another hotel after 1 night.

This was a great property to stay at! Location was perfect and easy to walk to everything. The rooftop pool was so nice and it was clean, the only thing is you can’t take any liquids up there so you have to buy all drinks including water at the bar... but it’s not too expensive, still worth it! There are quite a few stairs if your staying on level 3 in the balcony room or going to the rooftop which didn’t bother us, but might be hard for some if you have suitcases. Balcony room was great, very large and open. Good to have natural light as the standard rooms don’t have windows. Would definately stay again!

El hotel es bonito, pero la atención en el restaurante por parte de la mesera, como regular, además que solo tienen servicio desde las 7:30 pm, por lo cual, qué pasa con los que necesitan desayunar más temprano?. Igualmente el aseo de la baño es regular, ya que había moho en la cortina, y el agua de la ducha no tenía desnivel que permitiera evacuar el agua. No te dan jabón de ducha, y toca usar el jabón de manos. Las toallas estaban todas deshechas. El blackout sucio por la cara que se ve al interior del cuarto.

La mejor ubicación sacrificando comodidad
La mayor ventaja de este hotel es su ubicación estratégica ya que es excelente para hacer turismo en la cuidad amurallada. La infraestructura del lugar es agradable pero creo que para lograr mejorar deberían cambiar las toallas porque estaban manchadas y rotas, invertir en nuevas camas, poner shampoo y jabón para la ducha. Las habitaciones son un poco ruidosas, pero al ser hostal se espera que no tenga tanto lujo.

Amazing location and the pool was a nice plus
I stay for 4 nights. The location is perfect. You are within walking distance to both the castle and the old town. Breakfast was good and internet was very stable. The only down for me was that my room was on the ground floor right next to the stuff room and was quite noise late at night and early in the morning.

Excellent value for such a good location
Was so good that I decided to stay an extra night! Very nice rooftop with tables and a pool area. Breakfast was quite good. Wifi was very fast. Air conditioning and hot water worked fine. Not a long walk to anywhere in the Old Town. Excellent value.

Confortable et agréable en toute simplicité. Notre chambre n’avait qu’une fenêtre donnant sur le couloir, mais grâce à l´air conditionné ce n’est pas trop gênant. Bien situé. Très bon petit déjeuner! Attention, comme dans de nombreux hôtels, le personnel ne parle pas ou très peu d’autre langue que l’espagnol. Mais ils sont patients et accueillants!

Location is great, a short walk to Clocktower and a few minutes to colorful streets in Getsemani. It is safe even late at night, many people still walk around, to enjoy dinner and drinks. Staff is very helpful though they didn't speak much English. I arrived at the hotel without Colombia peso. I already paid at the airport but the taxi driver asked me to pay again. The hotel receptionist walked with her to a money exchange shop to change money to pay the taxi driver. Later she walked me to a shop to buy Claro SIM card. Breakfast served is simple, with fruit salad, fruit juice, toast or arepas. Quite delicious to start the day, included in the hotel stay. My twin bed room is very small though, so small that I couldn't use a table and no place to sit except my bed.

Para chegar ao centro turístico de Cartagena é necessário atravessar uma praça (parque del centenario). Não é longe. É bem perto na verdade, porém o aspecto da vizinhança nos causou um certo receio. Fora isso foi um bom lugar para curtir Cartagena. Dica: não pegar passeios diretamente no hotel, ao menos conosco o atendimento não foi muito bom.

Really good small-scale accommodations!
I had read reviews for the hotel prior to my visit. Since there were a lot of good reviews, I was a bit skeptical. However, this small-scale accommodation is an excellent place to experience. I was travelling solo, and the room I had (#10) was a good size with a double bed, small desk/chair. The shower was good but no hot water while I was there. There was hot water for the sink though. The AC did not work but there was a ceiling fan which I was ok with, even though it was a humid week (not something everyone will be ok with though). I would recommend better AC for the premises overall. Never saw an insect. It was in a quiet side street near the centre of Getsemani, close to Parque Centenario. Aori, Valeri, and the girls in the kitchen deserve recognition for their work. Breakfast was great: arepas, eggs, fruit cup, juice, coffee and tea options. I did not use the rooftop patio, but I did go up to see the view. Not a large pool. Also the front desk does have specific hours, so you will have a sort of 'curfew', which was 10pm while I was there. They require you to give the room key to front desk when you leave the hotel and then you get it back when you return. Also, the wifi was great, only required one reset but nothing that wasn't immediately fixed. Overall, this is a B&B style accommodation, so expect a certain degree of limitation.

Great location
Amazing location, just 5 minutes away from the clock tower and the vibrant Walled city of Cartagena. Make sure that they know your trip dates, *when you come in and check out, and the amount of nights*, because they wanted to charge us for an extra night when we payed our whole stay with Expedia, they didn't charge us (I hope so) and also wanted us to leave the day prior to our last day (confirmed with Expedia). The hotel staff is extremely nice, friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the city places and touristic attractions. The beds are a bit hard, but the AC is great for Cartagena's super hot and humid weather. Overall, I would come back and stay in again at Casa Ebano. They just need to double check with Expedia and not charge us or tell us to leave a day prior to our departure in the hotel, when everything is already set up with Expedia!

Getsemanin kaupunginosa oli muutama vuosi sitten huumekartelleiden temmellyskenttä, mutta se on kokenut täyden muodonmuutoksen. Siellä on lukuisia pieniä hostelleja ja hotelleja, joista tämä ei varmaankaan lainkaan häpeä siisteydessä ja palvelussa, jota tosin kai valtaosin saa vaan espanjan kielellä, mutta itselle se oli hyvää harjoitusta kohentaa tämänkin kielen osaamista. Huone (numero2) pohjakerroksessa oli pienehkö, mutta siisti, ilmastointilaite oli moderni ja tehokas ja suihkun paine riittävä. Aamupalalla sai esittää vaihtoehtoja ja itse valitsemani arepas paistetuilla kananmunilla kera kahvin ja hedelmäcoctailin oli maittava. Nuo arepakset ovat eräänlaisia kai useimmiten maissijauhoista tehtyjä lettuja noin suomalaisittain sanottuna. Lähellä Guerrero-kadun päässä on aukio Iglesia de Trinidad -kirkon edessä, jossa iltaisin oli vaikka mitä toimintaa, sitä oli hauska seurata ja kojuista ja katukeittiöstä sai maukkaan illallisen muutamalla eurolla. Suosittelen ehdottomasti niin hotellia kun Getsemanin kaupunginosaakin ja sieltä on 5 min kävelymatka enemmän kauppoja omaavaan muurien sisällä olevaan keskustaan.

Excelente hotel, calido, habitaciones y baños muy comodos, buena ubicacion, agua caliente, aire y lo mas importante la atención de sus empleados, en especial de Lina, Karen y Ana. 100% recomendable!
