Great location; I had a view of the Cathedral and central Piazza from my room. Very walkable to all of the main sites. Lots of restaurant choices. Only downside was the glass recycling (not controlled by hotel) that came each morning at around 7:00 am; thankfully that only took about 5 minutes and then the vehicle was gone and things were very quiet again after that. The tradeoff of the location was well worth that minor inconvenience.
I absolutely loved my stay in the Palazzo Villelmi! I splurged and stayed in the largest room on the top floor that has a view of Rocca di Cefalù, the Cathedral-Basilica, and the town square. The rooftop terrace is charming, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the shower is awesome, and the towels are very soft.
I’m really glad that I brought effective earplugs because the town square is very noisy until late at night.
If I ever visit Cefalù again, I will definitely stay at the Palazzo Villelmi again.
Everything is 10/10 with this accommodation. Amazing staff and a great overall option. Wonderful rooftop with a view of the Duomo.
Only thing is if you are a light sleeper, avoid it as it is on the main street hence the noise stops around 2am and starts again arounds 7am.
Nothing negative on the stay, just a comment regarding the location and its impact. Otherwise, central location great for everything else.
I couldn't recommend this property enough. Federico was so helpful in the lead-up to our stay and when we arrived - greeting us with charm and providing lots of helpful info. The location couldn't be in a more prime spot, being so close to Duomo di Cefalù cathedral. The room was incredibly clean, the bed very comfy, and we had enough room for us both.
Best location and staff. We stayed in the Junior Suite looking over the Square with a full view of the Cathedral. Even better, the 360 degree views from the rooftop terrace. What made our trip so special was the kind care and planning coordination assistance of Federico and Vittorio. The sunset boat tour with Federico was the highlight of our long weekend in Cefalu. Highly recommend.
Everyone I met here, from the cleaners to the reception staff, was very friendly and welcoming.
The location is fantastic. It’s very close to the sea, with a beautiful square right in front of the hotel and a lovely view of the cathedral. There are also plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby.
The rooftop is another highlight, with an amazing view. This time, I stayed in a single room. Usually, single rooms don’t come with a a particularly special view, but that definitely wasn’t the case here. I was really impressed.
I also highly recommend the bakery right in front of the hotel, Bar Duomo. I could easily go there every day!
Personally, here in Sicily, especially in Cefalù, I feel that staying in a hotel can sometimes be a better choice than an Airbnb or B&B. I could be wrong, but I found that the facilities in some private accommodations aren’t always of the highest standard. I think it’s worth spending a little extra to have a more comfortable and relaxing stay.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
