"There were a lot of pros and a couple of cons about this property. The location on the Oregon coast is fantastic; the access to Devils Punchbowl and tide pooling top notch. The steep hill and winding levels (think terraces) are unique but could be a deterrent for people who have trouble walking or are not in shape! The porter in his golf cart is always readily available to pick you up anywhere in the property (and comes quickly) but it requires a phone call to the front desk (so make sure you have the number on your mobile!) The pool has a great view of the ocean but it’s far from most of the rooms and on the bottom terrace. The myriad stairs to the beach are steep but doable. Note, there are no USB ports at all in the rooms so you need a charging cable and two pronged plug for the wall. The rooms are clean, but the end tables (only 1 small one per 2 queen beds) /lamps (how about USB ports?) /outlets (very few) need serious updating to get with the times. The wall art is kitschy but kinda cool. OK, the restaurant has GREAT food, but it’s pricey since it’s the only place for dinner in Otter Creek."
"We had a wonderful stay! It’s in the prime location next to the Aquarium, Newport Discovery zoo, Marine science center, and a yummy restaurant, coffee shop, and candy store across the street. While you don’t get an ocean view, you’re next to everything Newport has to offer! The staff was amazing, and even offered a sweet treat and beverage for my daughter’s birthday on their dime. The place was clean, long pool hours, good breakfast. They also make yummy cookies for the guests at certain times, and put them in the lobby. We loved it so much we plan on coming back soon."
"Check in with Vera was fast, efficient, helpful and professional. She's classy and knows her stuff. The room on the third floor with a jetted tub was clean and spacious. The view was breathtaking of the ocean. We watched the ocean from either the two chairs by the window or from the jetted tub, located right next to the windows. Reception and restaurant staff were all amazing. Great culture. We had dinner and breakfast but did not get any drinks from the bar. Restaurant food was amazing. The room and food was a little expensive, but expected on the Oregon Coast in the summer on a weekend. It was a special occasion and turned out great at the Adobe. The fitness room was nice and clean. The game room was nice. Indoor swimming pool was great. Access to the beach out from, a little tricky getting down to the tidepools, but worth it. Will stay here again. Good memories."
