“Unfortunately, our experience with this place started off as a nightmare. We emailed them more than 45 days in advance to confirm payment of the park fees for two people and received no response. As our arrival date got closer, we had to repeatedly email and call just to get basic information. When we tried to confirm airport pickup, the staff became overly aggressive about selling us their game drive package. We clearly explained that we already had some activities booked and would decide after...

“My stay was OK, but nobody from the hotel advised how to enter Serengeti Park via flight, while fees to be paid in the hotel - I was stuck at Serengeti airport for 3 hours”

“If you do anything book this hotel! From the moment you arrive on the airstrip you’re greeted with nothing but the best hospitality. The staff really make this place amazing. Daniel the manager and Denis the safari guide work alongside the staff to make sure you have the best experience. From the moment you wake up in your gorgeous suite to the moment you enter your safari car the experience is like no other. We came here on our honeymoon and can say it had been one of our best experiences to...

“The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The resident manager so nice and engaging. You feel welcome the moment you enter the premisses. The view from the rooms is stunning.”

“What an incredible stay! The staff here are just so welcoming and exceptional, truly top-notch. This place has it all, from ultimate relaxation to an unforgettable safari experience. If you're heading to the Serengeti, this is the only place I'd suggest staying at.”

“Remote glamping. Feels like a miracle that this camp in the middle of the Serengeti has hot water, electricity, Internet, and white tablecloth dining. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is not for the faint hearted or light sleeper. There are delightful animal noises at night. Baboons come into the camp at dusk. You need an escort to the dining tent after dark (easily arranged by telephone). I had a buffalo outside my tent one night. I never felt unsafe though. I would strongly recommend to...

“Excellent setting to enjoy the quiet part of the Serengetti. Heartfelt Karibu athmospher by staff”

Grazie mille! Hasante ”

“Amazing property and management! Everything and everyone was very friendly and great! Rooms are huge, hot showers, amazing breakfast and dinner. Staff was super helpful and went beyond our needs. Definitely book, you will nit be sorry! We saw a lot of lions, zebras and other animals on the property.”

“Nice location, spacious tent with luxurious design. We got to watch a group of wildebeest running in front of our tent and also had pumabaa visited too. Staff are very helpful to make our stay memorable and comfortable. Highly recommend.”

“Belle expérience”

“Mussa and his team are fabulous. I went with my two sons in July 2026. The location of Pumba Luxury Camp is amazing. You feel the thrill of sleeping in the middle of the bush, surrounded by tall grass and wondering what animals could be hiding there. But the staff is constantly patrolling the area. No need to worry. They always escort you from your tent the lobby and dining area, and back again. Very attentive people. And kind. They taught Swahili words to my sons :) great human capital in Pumba...

“I’ve never thought such service exists. The place, the stuff , the hotel itself were incredible. Safari was so exciting. The camp you live in is like my dream house I would like to take with me everywhere. I never forget the kindness of the stuff.”

Jonathan, Leonid, Deus,...

“The location and setting is magnificent, but what made Pioneer so special is the wonderful service by all the staff working under the perfect oversight of Manager Simon. Our tent butler, Juma, was a special delight. The nightly dining under the stars was so special and the meals were excellent. We recommend it to anyone wanting a tented experience with great comfort and pampering.”
