“A remarkable little gem of a hotel in Haarlem. The history of the building just adds to the charm and I really appreciated the history lesson while checking in. The original ceiling painting in the reception/breakfast area is beautiful. They’ve done a great job of modernizing the building while maintaining the charm. Do realize that you’re staying in an almost 400 year old building so there are some quirks with stairs but there is a lift to deal with most of those.”

“The owners were absolutely amazing, they gave us a lot of useful information upon our arrival. Extremely helpful. They even made us a breakfast to go on our departure day as we had to leave very early in the morning. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish I could give them 10 stars! Also the location was great as well. Very close to bus stops and the train station.”

“The window wouldn’t close properly, so people were smoking drugs outside that we could smell. Who runs a Hotel next to a RAVE party? We couldn’t sleep at all ! The door kept slamming open and closed next to our room. We paid a lot of money and are very disappointed.”

“Nice spot in freak location”
