We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast and coffee is perfect in the morning. The rooms were good for our large family (we had two rooms with 3 beds each) and the area is very walkable. It’s about a 14 min walk to the beach (with my slower children) and a 10 min taxi into Chania. There is also a bus to take you to town and some of the other beaches that stops nearby but we didn’t do it because of elders in our group. There is a taverna around the corner that was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again if we return to Crete.

Me and my uncle stayed 2 weeks at Balito Apartments and it was wonderful! The staff were really friendly and helpful. We got amazing recommendatiations from the staff to go to the beach and find good restaurants. We arrived at night and everything were arranged so that it was easy to come at night time too when everyone was sleeping. Rooms were good and cleaned, nothing special, but it had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and clean. Very peaceful place and on good location, not so far away. You can easily go down to the beach. I really recommend this place. Everything was good and the staff was just so amazing, it felt like home. Definitely going again!

How anyone could not like this is beyond me. Unless you are actually looking for loud music and foam parties, this is great, a reasonably priced relatively modern property in a great location with its own bar serving food and drink and its own swimming pool, with fabulous sea views on a bus route, yards from a traditional village with its own restaurants, bakery, coffee kiosk. Supermarkets are just short stroll away. George is a very accommodating host easy to get on with and very helpful and informative.

Good but can improve

Pros: Excellent location, close to Chania town and many markets close by. Nice size swimming pool, good size apartment with a small kitchenette. Price is reasonable for what you get. Cons: Overall cleanliness can be improved, one of the matresses was very uncomfortable, I booked a Seaview Apartment, we did get a seaview but on a lower floor, our view was blocked by trees. Overall happy with my experience but would wanna try somewhere else next time.

Best last-minute Getaway vacation❤️

In addition to the comfortable rooms and friendly staff, we also enjoyed the great amenities at Hotel Balitol, including a nice kids' pool and an adult pool. The hotel's location was perfect, with the beach just a short walk away and a bus station right next to the hotel. It was convenient to have Chania city center only about 5km away, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy the local attractions. We also want to mention the lovely owner of Hotel Balitol, who made our stay even more special. Their warm hospitality and personal touch added to the overall charm of the hotel. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We truly appreciated their kindness and attention to detail. Thank you to the owner and the entire staff at Hotel Balitol for a fantastic week. We hope to visit again soon!❤️

Great property. Apartments very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful sea view on 2nd floor. Kitchenette basic but adequate for cooking breakfast. Good shower in bathroom. Lovely pool. There is a pool bar. George the owner and his family and staff were very friendly and gave lots of information about Crete. It is about a 12 minute walk down the hill to the nearest beach Kalamaki. We didn't like this beach as it was by a busy road so we carried on walking another 20 mins to Apostoli beach which is fabulous with a great beach bar. Completely recommend this accommodation but bear in mind the distance to beaches, if you don't like to walk far you need to hire a car. Or there is a bus stop right outside the apartment you could use.

Very nice stay! Recommend!

Strongly recommend hotel Balito! The owners are really nice and welcoming. We asked a lot about recommendations on what to do in Chania and some help with taxi and our car that we rented, and they were really helpful! The hotel is not so far from the beach, and parking with car is good outside the hotel. I really loved the vibe of the hotel! It’s very welcoming, but also very calm and informal. If I ever come back to Chania I will 100% stay here again!

Posizione molto comoda. Siamo stati davvero bene nonostante non si tratti di un hotel sfarzoso. La piscina è molto carina e pulita, il personale è gentile e disponibile. Oltre ai posti auto di fronte all’entrata si trova facilmente parcheggio sulla via.

Con la mia famiglia (2 3) abbiamo passato un ottimo soggiorno di 14gg in questo appartamento al secondo piano. Sebbene il cucinotto non sia fornitissimo per cui risultava difficile cucinare per tutta la famiglia, abbiamo apprezzato molto l'ampio terrazzo che usavamo per colazioni e cene take away. Il personale e' super cordiale e sempre pronto a darti suggerimenti e aiuto. La bella piscina e' davvero un plus che permette di rilassarsi dopo giornate "faticose" al mare. Simpatici gatti (che amiamo molto) sono frequentatori dell'hotel. La macchina e' necessaria per muoversi ed il parcheggio non e' un problema. Nelle vicinanze immediate Elia una taverna tipica consigliataci da George dove si mangia bene senza spendere una fortuna.

Ottimo hotel per rapporto qualità prezzo. Posto tranquillo e ottimo per visitare zona Chania. Struttura pulita e personale cordiale, molto piacevole la piscina.
