I was afraid that this would be in the middle of nowhere. Well it's in the middle of nowhere, and it was great. The beach is great and quiet, and there is a taverna for lunch or to bring things at the beach. Aside from the shower, everything is 5 stars. Take the time to talk to th friendly owner.

Loved our stay - wish we could have stayed longer. The property is beautiful, the owner is very friendly, and the room had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Bel accueil. Le site et la chambre sont d'une propreté impeccable. Bonne literie et tellement calme que c'est merveilleux cet hôtel. Restaurants a proximité. Bon emplacement pour aller visiter Chora Sfakion, les gorges Aradena (ça vaut le détour), les gorges Imbros et aller prendre le bateau pour se rendre à Loutro. Stationnement privé, très belle piscine et proche de la plage. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Absolutely delightful place! This is our third visit and Antonis was as welcoming and helpful as ever. Love the large room with kitchenette and fridge. Pool area is great with chilled music. Good snacky food by the pool and excellent tavernas nearby .

Super comfortable room , bigger than the average double you could find . Nice yard and huge garden which combined with the pool bar gives you huge space to relax. Professional staff , provided everything we asked. Nicely located if you want to be based in Fragokastelo and visit the Sfakia region. Huge parking space

Im Zuge einer Rundreise hat es uns auch nach Frangokastellon getrieben. Es war unser Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Wanderungen und angenehme Abkühlungen im Meer. Ein idealer Platz fernab des Massentourismus. Der Check in und die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich und nett. Eine sehr schöne und ansprechend sauber eingerichtete Anlage.. Man hat uns gut mit Information für unsere Aktivitäten versorgt. Restaurationen sind genug im näheren Umkreis vorhanden.

Idéal pour un petit stop dans la région.
Hôtel appartement très sympa et au calme Piscine avec belle pelouse et palmiers. Équipe très accueillante. Pas de restauration sur place mais le restaurant VATALOS à 200 mètres en bord de mer est vraiment excellent. Très bonne cuisine crétoise pas chère.

Kleinschalig complex op rustige lokatie
Prachtig complex, gelegen op een rustige plek. Mooie kamers, zwembad met loungeplekken en op loopafstand van de kust. In de buurt is niet veel te doen, maar met de auto zijn er plaatsen in de buurt te bezoeken. Dit is zeer zeker een aanrader als je op zoek bent naar een rustige vakantie

Toplocatie
Dit is een prima verzorgd hotel met een mooi zwembad. Goede kamers met een keukentje. Vriendelijk personeel en een prachtige grote tuin. Het is echt een aanrader als je even niet naar het massatoerisme wilt van de noordkust.

We were grateful to be met and shown our room prior to check-in time having driven from Chania following an all night flight. We were welcomed into a family get together and shown great hospitality. A great place to stay. Would thoroughly recommend

Hosts were most accommodating. Location between mountains and coast is super but immediate are outsidre hotel not great but only a mile from good beach & tavernas in Frangikastello. KV is thoroughly recommended for a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable break.

Love this place!
Great set of apartments in quiet Frangokastello. Clean, comfortable and close to beautiful beaches, within a few minutes walk to the closest - all with lovely safe swimming in clear waters (though reef shoes are handy as some are pebbly in areas.) Clean rooms, a lovely pool to cool off in and the most helpful staff. Antonis and Caterina looked after us so well, from lovely breakfasts and lunches, to organising bicycles and taxis (we don't drive), educating us on local history and recommending fun things for us to do on our short stay. We always say we'd never go back to the same place, but are already planning a return with friends. Our room overlooked the mountains and we could also see the sea on the other side, perfect! Would definitely choose Kallicrates next time. We didn't use the cooker for food, just tea, but basic self catering equipment provided. Note: If you like parties, and a busy nightlife, this isn't the place for you! Frangokastello is perfect for relaxing and exploring and Kallicrates is in the perfect location to do that. 15/2- mins walk down to the fort, with lovely tavernas dotted along the route! The bus to chora sfakion also stops right by the hotel (no bus stop, just some waving required)
