Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Addison vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
