If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a pleasant start to your getaway in Andrés Eloy Blanco. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
