If you're poorly prepared, traveling can be overwhelming. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints for a worry-free start to your time in Anjaneri. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and something to read. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a good idea.
- A serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks is also recommended.
