No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Arguedas escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between air carriers, the general guide to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, spray paint and fireworks. Sports equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
