Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Aurora could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some terrific options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of an aircraft are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. There are plenty of ways to reduce your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and get your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some exercises in your seat.
