We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through airport security and discovering Bandung before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a few toiletry items to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule of thumb is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, fuels and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like golf clubs, and items that could injure passengers, such as swords and guns, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
