We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a ball in Bazens in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
