If you're not prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a worry-free start to your vacation in Ben Bolt. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a pleasure if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be the goal when picking what to wear on your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet and ankles are a common side effect of flying. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are your best bet.
- A serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression socks or tights may also help.
