Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of top travel tips that will help get your Blannay vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
