We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and having a blast in Bohland in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you bring the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up in natural fibers and take a pullover just in case you get cold. Pick a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your luggage.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. There's lots you can do to reduce your risk. Wear compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and get your legs and feet moving. Walk around the cabin when possible or perform exercises in your seat.
