No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Boll vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are some great options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
