We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and having a blast in Cabo de la Vela before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some fantastic options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, aerosol cans and flares. Sports equipment like baseball bats, and objects that could injure passengers, such as swords and guns, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to take a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
