We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as pain-free as possible. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and enjoying Carrena in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your legs and feet often.
