We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and enjoying Chaman Gul before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
