No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Chínipas vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a pleasure if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good choice.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. The great news is there are proven ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Stay well hydrated, wander through the cabin as often as you can and wear compression socks or tights.
