Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will get your Chistopol' escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack in your passport, official ID, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are some great options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
