Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will help get your Como escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by wearing layers, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
