Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Daysland escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack your passport, travel documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling novel and a tablet filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Most travelers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and move your lower limbs often.
