If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But there's no need to panic. Follow these useful tips for a pain-free start to your vacation in East Side of Ragged Island. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll arrive feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer yourself up in breathable clothing and take a pullover just in case you get chilly. Opt for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell a little during the flight. Leave the high heels and heavy hiking boots in your checked luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
