If you're not prepared, air travel can be a real challenge. But there's no need to worry. Follow these tips and tricks for a stress-free start to your time in Esko. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a stress-free travel experience is to pack ahead. Start with the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help while away those hours, like your laptop or a good read. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, don't forget to toss in toiletry items like a toothbrush, lip balm and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Don comfortable layers and take a sweater as it can get chilly in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are also a great idea to help lower your risk.
