Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Estal escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you've got all the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Next, leave space in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
