We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and exploring Fairmont in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any daily medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Choose easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
