If you're poorly prepared, traveling can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a trouble-free start to your vacation in Fiy. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
