We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and having a blast in Giron before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any vital medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
