If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to panic. Follow these handy tips for a pain-free start to your vacation in Gothenburg. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you pack the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
