Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Hamilton could be no sweat at all or it could drag on forever. We've compiled some useful travel tips that will help you start your next unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and go for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
