Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Härad could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between air carriers, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like bows and arrows, and items that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
