We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Hinton before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, fireworks and fuel. Sporting equipment like ski poles, and objects that could injure passengers, such as guns and swords, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a pullover in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
