Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Ignace escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you've got all the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
