If you're poorly prepared, air travel can be testing. But there's no need to worry. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Illapel. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
