If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these useful tips and enjoy a stress-free start to your time in Jagna. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Consider your choice of footwear carefully too, as swollen feet are a common side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are always a good idea.
- Unfortunately, one risk of flying long-haul is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another simple way to help reduce this risk.
