Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Kells vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack your passport, official ID, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are always good options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
